I have spent the past 12+ years assisting retailers, distributors, brands, manufacturers, and suppliers with their global compliance strategies. This has included corporate compliance strategy, supply chain strategy, sustainability, environmental compliance, and process development. I typically recommend a seven step approach to compliance including:

  1. Identification of applicable requirements

  2. Compliance assurance process development, implementation, and certification

  3. Employees and vendor communication and training

  4. Supplier data collection

  5. GAP analysis and risk assessment

  6. Product screening and testing based upon the GAP and risk assessment

  7. Claims verification or certification, product labeling, and marketing launch

These efforts have assisted with R&D, new market entry, the ability to continue to sell into existing markets, and differentiation of products.
